Amy L. Dawson, Principal
Amy’s professional experience encompasses new initiative development, campaign planning, competitive grant writing, local and national program management, and grantmaking.
In California, Amy assisted the start-up of the Miriam and Peter Haas Fund and assisted Bay Area schools, nonprofits, and intermediary organizations with initiative development and fundraising. In Washington, DC, Amy served as program associate for The Finance Project, senior program manager for youth worker education and training initiatives at the Academy for Educational Development and assistant vice president in the Office of Advancement at Georgetown University during the planning phase for its $1.5 billion campaign.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in human biology with a concentration in health care administration from Stanford University and a master's degree in public policy from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School for Public & International Affairs. She served as vice president of the board of directors of Capitol Hill Arts Workshop in southeast DC from 2010-2012 and currently serves as a national advisory board member for the Bay Area Women's and Children's Center in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco. Amy founded d’nitiatives, LLC in 2010.
